Mariner Trading Company, Cochin, India was established in May 2003. The company is in the business of sourcing and quality control of seafood product. Our service is available to seafood importers around the world who have an imperative need for an external eye to watch and monitor their orders for quality and other relevant parameters during the production process. We assist importers in identifying the right partners to do business with and negotiate the best prices for them.

The products we source are shrimp ,cephalopods, crab and fish , processed as block frozen , semi IQF or IQF, whole, shellon/ skin on or peeled, raw or cooked, retail or bulk packed, all based on customer specifications and requirement.

We have identified six of the finest seafood processors in India to be the primary suppliers and partners for our valuable customers. The companies were shortlisted based on, experience and efficiency of management, quality of infrastructure, quality of product, proximity to the source of raw material and above all honesty . All of them are registered BRC, ISO, BAP ( 2 to 4 star) and have social audit backup.

The Team

We have three accomplished quality control managers who are assisted by a team of twelve quality control executives, all with several years of seafood factory shop floor experience. They are present on the ground in each facility that processes for our customers to ensure specifications are met. They monitor production from start to finish which also includes loading the consignment into the container for shipment.

Mr L.K.C.Roy - Managing Partner

Worked as head of frozen seafood business with the Amalgam Group, which was the largest and most progressive seafood company in India with interests in Frozen Seafood, Freeze Drying and Shrimp Feed. The business was sold to Unilever in year 2003.

Mr C.T.Varghese - Partner

Worked as head of sales, frozen seafood business with the Amalgam Group. Prior to this he was the factory manager of one of Amalgam's large seafood factories.

Mr Elvis D'Cruz - Partner

Worked in senior positions in varied business sectors : Frozen Seafood, Shipping, Cold Chain Logistics, Ports and Terminals
